The Difference Between Buyer Agents And Seller Agents

Per the New York State Disclosure Form For Buyer And Seller

A Seller’s Agent represents the interests of the seller. A Buyer’s Agent represents the interests of the buyer.

Most buyer’s on Long Island work with seller agents, but nationwide most buyer’s work with buyer agents. We feel most Long Island buyer’s are at a disadvantage because they lacking the information that they need to make an informed choice when deciding if they want the real estate agent to work for them as a Seller or Buyer agent. Most do not even know they have a choice!

The Buyer’s really pays the real estate commission; it is in the SALE PRICE! The seller receives funds from the buyer at the closing table and cuts a check for the real estate commission. Since you the Buyer are paying the real estate commission why not have your real estate agent REPRESENT YOUR INTERST INSTEAD OF INTERSTS OF THE SELLER?
